Track Details

Fast Track is the closest circuit capable of hosting larger events. The circuit is very technical, and drivers have very little time to rest over a lap due to the constant twists and turns of the track. Despite this the majority of the circuit can be driven flat-out in the dry, which means that overtaking here can be difficult. Drivers need to be both intelligent and brave to pull off a clean move. The karts will reach speeds of up to 40mph at the fastest sections, but only if the driver is capable of retaining his MOMENTUM. This is the key to achieving good results here.

Fast Track was closed down in June 2008, and hence was not visited during 08/09, but is all set to re-open in September 2009, with new karts a slightly different layout and, slightly scandalously, a new name, as it will be known as East Hull Wheels. Nonetheless, it will likely be a popular venue for 09/10, and will still be known affectionately to us as Fast Track.

Issues and Rules

1. LOCALISED YELLOW FLAGS - When a marshall waves a yellow flag, it means that you are approaching an incident. Drivers approaching the yellow flag must slow down and refrain from overtaking until they have passed the incident, at which point racing will recommence.
Drivers may overtake at other parts of the circuit where there are no yellow flag in force.
Failure to abide by yellow flags is punishable either with a Warning or a Black Flag.

2. RED FLAGS - These are used only in the event of a very serious incident, either an injury to a driver or serious damage to a circuit barrier. In the event of a red flag, drivers must come to a safe and controlled stop immediatly. Drivers must remian in the karts once stopped. Following this they must await marshall instruction, as the circuit officials take care of the incident.
