Hello!
As you can see, the HUGS website has been completely overhauled! We hope you like the new features as much as we do, this section will be updated regularly with announcements and emails sent out to HUGS members, so if you lose one, just pick it up here.
As if we weren't vain enough, the exec has dedicated a section to themselves detailing what we're all about and what we do in the society. If you're new to HUGS, have a look, decide who's your favourite. pick me :)
For the first time, we plan to publish a calendar not only of upcoming races, but upcoming social events as well. As you can see if you go over to the calendar on the 'Events' page, plans are already in motion for next year, with much more to be announced yet - keep checking back for what's to come.
Many of you will be familiar with the content in our 'Track Information' section as much of it was kept on the forum previously. Knowing when to just leave things be, all of the track information including race guides and details has been moved but not tampered with. At the bottom of each track page you can find the record laptimes for individuals at all of the circuits we've been to in the past year and some before even that.
Josh will have his own section in 'Race Results and Reports', where you can check on the latest happenings in society karting. Until the new season starts, you can flick through the older race reports from last year, which are all stored for safe keeping.
Further to reading about our races and events, clicking over to 'Photo Gallery' will take you to a collection of some of the images we captured in our 2008/09 year, so you can see what happened yourself. Expect more to be added here as we take part in more races and socials in the new academic year.
Finally, if you're not a fan of change and you'd prefer to just stick to the forum, then do just that. Clicking on 'Forum' takes you back to our old site, where topics are split into two categories, 'Race Talk' and 'General Talk'. All of the old conversations that were had back in 08/09 are still there, ready to be picked up right where they were left off :)
I'd like to thank Dan for spending ohsolong making it all work and for letting us host on his domain - free pints coming your way :)
Hope you all like it,
Sam
