Warden Law 1 Year ago Karma: 3
For those of you who have not yet noticed, I have posted a guide to Warden Law on the track info page, seeing as though it will be a likely venue for us at some point this year. I cut and pasted the overhead picture and the guide from York's website

It looks an absolutely awesome track, certainly can't wait for us to race there!

Warden Law is a good laugh, and last I heard they've now removed the Karts with pedals on the same side so should actually be doable for those who don't drive an actual car now

I've added a diagram of the track, might make things easier if you want to write your own guide!

Cheers, Dan

And yeah I saw some pictures of the karts they have there, basically more powerful versions of the ones at Grimsby and Leeds, and the pedals are on different sides this time! I can't imagine using my right foot to brake in a kart, even though I do of course do a lot of car driving

Real men don't let the fact that they might have to right-foot-brake get in the way of a good performance!

Real men also spell it "brake" when referring to the slowing down of a car

True, but in the case of Adam, either version is fine, because he's definitely going to do one of the two

IIRC a REAL man still went on to set fastest lap in a kart with stupid pedals, on a tracks he'd never driven

Hey, three HUGS drivers out of 48 runners in the top five on fastest lap time (1st, 4th, 5th). Don't go hogging all of the glory there...

No I think we were 4th. Might have stood a chance if a certain person trying to claw back some of the glory had not gone off so many times...

That said as well as Herbie's antics, I got shunted out by a Durham driver. I lost 30s and then spent the next 20mins taking over a second lap out of him before getting him back with about 2 mins to go. I won the 'Best On-Track Moment' award for my 'Point of Doom'...

I think we worked out that despite him being the slowest of the 4 in our team, Andrew set the best average laptime simply by being on the track for his whole stint

Good Times.

Re:Warden Law 11 Months, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 1
Yes, my stint was a little lairy. But I loved the track. I felt very alive that day!

And I don't doubt that Andrew was the most consistent, taking into consideration Pip's excursion (forced by another driver). If I recall correctly then Pip was fastest, Jon fourth fastest and me fifth. Andrew's best was a little slower but he was no slouch. I think his other crowning glory that day was overtaking five karts in the space of a corner or two, which certainly got him noticed even if he wasn't one of the five quickest guys!
