Greetings to all HUGS members.

This topic exists purely to commit to writing, the current Social 'formats' as it were.

'Traditional' Social

Every Wednesday, usually post race (although not exclusively), we will assemble at the Gardeners Arms for some pub food and a couple of drinks. Everyone will then, depending on how hygenic said karter is, leave for a bried period to shower and 'peacock' up their hair, before we all reconvine once again at the Gardeners Arms, before heading to the 'Tower Night' in the Asylum. Once at the Asylum, drinking averages will pick up to around the 3pph.

All members attending the socials will be informed before the break period as to whether the group will be wearing colours or just going in casual clothes.

Post Asylum, we all retreat back to a house, ideally the current Social Secretary's, for Pizza and contemplation of the nights events.

Drinking Game Socials

These will occur on Monday evenings, and depending on how early we intend to start drinking, will start at either the Social Sec's house or at Pipers, most being at Pipers, due to the extreme mixing it lends itself to. Drinking games include, 'Horse Races', 'Riding the Bus', 'Ring of Fire' and the horrific 'Arrogance'. We will arrive at Piper before 8 o'clock, so to be sure of not only avoiding the notoriously long queues, but also that we get free entry. No drinks will be purchased before 8 o'clock, because as soon as the clock ticks over to said time, drinks drop to the 'Pounded' prices.

Attire will always be 'going out clothes' and not colours, unless the Social is annointed a White T-Shirt social.

As usual, we will retreat to someone's humble abode to reflect on a hard night's work, and possibly enjoy a pizza.

White T-Shirt Social

Can occur on any Social night. All members will be alerted when one is coming up. Further details on the format will be revealed upon it's Maiden Run. Can take place in an Individual Format or in a Team Format.

In order to participate, you will need a plain white t-shirt and a marker pen.

Three-Legged Social

A format pioneered by myself, involves all members who want to take part, meeting at one person's house. Partnerships will then be formed by luck of the draw, and teams will be tethered together with a belt, and will race to the next destination along a predetermined route. After each leg, punishment shots will be awarded inversely to finishing positions, with 1st place avoiding a drink, 2nd taking 1 shot, and so on down the competitors. The final leg is always the Sprint to Asylum, with the pillar outside being the finishing point. At this point all competitors will be seperate, as per Asylum's rules, and the last round of shots will be administered.

Upon completion of each leg, a draw will be made. The draw decides whether said race was the 'Twist' race, where punishment shots are reversed, so the winners take the most shots.

The team with who has the lowest number of punishment shots wins. In the event of a draw, the team with the most wins (winning the Twist race counts as a win, despite it carrying a hefty punishment). Winner receive undying respect, and will be barred from teaming up in future events.

Important Note: Attending a Social is all in the name of fun, if you don't want to take part in the format of the social, you're more than welcome to come along and not 'compete'. You'll miss out on a lot of fun, but it's entirely your choice.

Lockdown Socials

Another new format that will debut this year, well, hopefully it won't, but if it does, we shall all enjoy some bonding, in our favourite form, getting drunk as a large group
